Abstract

In part of a larger mission to address professional development among SBAE teachers, this study is specifically targeting the preferences of SBAE teachers in Oklahoma. A non-experimental survey research study employed a census approach for SBAE teachers in Oklahoma. This study implemented crosstabs analysis in SPSS to compare personal and professional characteristics and professional development preferences. The majority of participants prefer to receive professional development in-person at Oklahoma State University, based on this study. Although professional development may adapt over time, participants indicated an interest in participating, therefore taking personal responsibility for professional growth. Regardless of the physical location of professional development, perhaps a need exists to share responsibility for in-service education programs across stakeholder groups in a single location.
